We are taking orders now for our grass-fed and finished beef that will be ready for pick-up (possible delivery) in early June. We finish our beef on grass located on the ranch 10 miles west of Jamestown. This year is shaping up to be an exceptional feed year which will produce a better marbled finish. All our beef is hormone and antibiotic free and raised only on our open pastures. Our website should be up and running soon . You can call Steve or Jeannie @ (209) 984-5600 for more info or to place an order.

Just want to highly recommend Coastal Hill Farms Chicken in Point Reyes! Bobby Foehr, owner of Coastal Hill Farm is new to the direct market scene, but has fabulous chicken for sale!! He's taking weekly orders for whole birds at $4.25/lb. A great deal for an amazing tasting bird. You can contact him at or 415-342-5162 for more information or to place an order.

Anyone interested in pastured veal? We have one left for September harvest. Target live weight is 300-350 lbs. The calves have been hand-raised on a combination of raw (of course!) goat and Jersey cow milk, occasionally supplemented by all-milk milk replacer with free access to pasture. They also get good quality hay daily, a combination of alfalfa, grass, clover, and an oat/rye hay mix. We like to let them choose :) Our veal animals were never crated, never confined in any way except in a regular pasture fence.
Price is based on hanging weight and is $8/lb hanging weight. There is a fee to the butcher who comes out to the farm, currently he is charging $100 per animal and there is the cut and wrap charge at the butcher of your choice. We have a local butcher that we recommend (The Country Butcher in Marysville) who charges 72 cents per pound based on hanging weight.

We are trying to pin down a delivery date for another batch of pastured poultry and eggs, so we could probably deliver as a courtesy if we could do it at the same time.

You can post any questions here or email me directly at godfrey @

Pickup will be this Friday, July 24th between 2:30-5:30pm at the old Mountain Hardware warehouse site at 4911 Central Ave. *Please be on time and bring exact change* Note, although you have requested large eggs, there is the possibility that some folks will end up with jumbos. Please bring enough extra money to cover any additional cost in case this happens. I notified the farm last week of our order but there are no guarantees for eggs as they also sell them at the farmer's market.

Heading westbound on 80:
Exit Central Ave,
Right at bottom of exit onto Central Ave, go past the granite store.
Go over overpass, straight through 2 stop signs.
You will see businesses on the right hand side. The former Mountain
Hardware site is the 2nd driveway I believe. I will try to make sure
I bring extra ice/ice packs. The parking lot is shaded, so hopefully
that will help.
Note: If you get to Costco, you've gone too far.

Heading eastbound on 80:
Exit Central Ave, make a left at the light onto Central Ave
Straight through next light (intersection of San Joaquin and Central Ave)
Straight through 2 stop signs
Make 2nd right into the former Mountain Hardware site.

Please let me know if you have any questions. 410-474-8206
