Hi Neil,
I'm interested in purchasing some meat. I haven't been able to get an answer from some of the ranchers about pricing. (What is the approximate out the door price, for example)
If you find something that looks promising, please let me know.

Are there any group purchases of grass-fed beef going on right now or in the near future? I'm interested in a pretty small amount but would like to be part of a purchase.

I am a member of the Pacifica 4-H club. this year my brother and I have raised turkeys, meat chickens, meat rabbits and a hog. I will be showing them and selling them at auction this year at the San Mateo County Fair. The Fair opens this Saturday June 12 and runs until Sunday June 2o. My animals are raise humainly and organic way free of growth hormones ect. The Auction will be Saturday June 19th. What you pay at auction is tax deductable. If anyone is interested in coming to the auction and bidding on one of my animals Please contact me as I can get you tickets and parking. There will also be a buyers dinner after the auction. Look at past posts, but Mel of Sierra Lamb comes to our area monthly and you can get 1/2 or whole from him and ground meat. . contact Mel Thompson and tell him Lisa sent you. I think he will be here on the 27th at a nearby exit off of 280, usually close to 2pm.

Jim, I'm sorry it took so long to relpy. I sell whole beefs (approximately 350-400#. I have some interested people who reponded to my ad on the home page. I can send you more information via the U.S. postal service if you give me your address.

Hi all. Seems like I am another prospective buyer without any experience on the process. Steve, I would call to place and order but I am not even sure what I would be ordering. Perhaps you could give us an idea on what we should be prepared to tell you when we order? For instance, I have freezer space for about 75 lbs tops (although not sure I would want 75lbs all at once).

We are taking orders now for our grass-fed and finished beef that will be ready for pick-up (possible delivery) in early June. We finish our beef on grass located on the ranch 10 miles west of Jamestown. This year is shaping up to be an exceptional feed year which will produce a better marbled finish. All our beef is hormone and antibiotic free and raised only on our open pastures. Our website should be up and running soon . I found these two co-ops, one located in SF and another in Fremont. They are focusing on raw pet food but the meats are human grade from local farms. The one in SF focus only on local humanely raised meats. Thought I share.

Hi Lynn,

I would be interested in getting some chickens too. We just need to get someone with initiative to contact a farm like Marin Farms to get the process started and see how many others want to go in. I have been wanting to but never seem to find the time.
