I'm new to the site. We have a farm in Marysville, growing pasture-raised meats and eggs. We will have chickens available about the 3rd week of July and our next pastured pork should be ready around in early fall. We are also raising pastured veal, milk and pasture fed, no crates or anything, they run, jump and play and basically live out their life as happily as possible. You can find out more about us at www.godfreyfamilyfarms.com or contact via email at ihdpr [@] yahoo.com.

Hey, all,
Our site is experiencing some difficulties. If your comments are disappearing or your home pages are freaking out, please rest assured that I'm working to figure out what's up.
Best,
Tamar

Sounds good. I probably won't be home until around 6pm or so but my wife Mary should be there. Thanks.

Dan, Just checked with Alexis and this run is sold out. I have the one chicken for you and will bring it by your house tomorrow between 5:30 and 6:30 unless I hear otherwise. I'll find out the next dates tomorrow for when we could place another order.

Hi Dan, I have one chicken for you for sure. I'll check with Alexis and see if I can up the order. Will get back.

Not sure where the order stands at this point but I would buy as many as 4 chickens.

Kris, Great! I'm picking up tomorrow, Wed 4/29 at around 4:30 p.m. I can try to get it back to davis by 5 or we can come up with some other arrangement. As long as Bob has your cell #, I can be in touch as the chickens travel into Davis.

Hi Charlene,
(I'm one of Bob's co-workers). I've been hesitating to join because I live outside your group area ( Sacto) and because I wasn't sure how much meat I would buy. But Bob came by my cubby this AM, talking up the chickens, I got back my enthusiasm, and signed up!

I just talked to Alexis at Soul Food Farms in Vacaville. I plan to place an order by 3/24 for 25 chickens to be picked up on April 29. I want to start with 4 chickens for myself, so if anyone would like to go in on this order for one chicken or more, let me know. Hopefully, they'll be enough interest and we can go forward with the order. Chickens average 4-5 pounds. The cost is $4 per pound (If you check out the web site, you'll know why!) The chickens will just have been processed and will be fresh for 5-6 days. They are air packed and can be frozen. Giblets are not included.

If anyone is interested in a dozen of assorted eggs, they can be ordered, too. These eggs come from truly pasture-raised chickens. They are fresh and good for 30 days. There is no minimum or limit on eggs.

So to get us started, let me know in the next few days if you might want chickens and or eggs and how many. Then we'll see who wants to take the next step and commit to a few chickens or eggs. Then I'll place the order by 3/24. I'll pick up the chickens and bring back to town.

At this stage, interest doesn't mean commitment to a purchase. Becoming a West Plainfield Member will not obligate you to sharing in on this or any other purchase, it will just keep you in the loop.
