About: The Bay Area Meat CSA was founded by Bonnie Powell and Tamar Adler and is managed by Slow Food Berkeley. After an incarnation as a more traditional CSA, it is now a social networking site that enables you to cooperate with your neighbors to buy "shares" in whole animals. The tutorials and forums on this site will help you tailor your purchase of local meat so that you can buy a "share" that fits your appetite - anywhere from ten to one hundred pounds.
