I hope the following answers some of your questions.
Godfrey Family farm is located in Marysville, CA and will deliver to the bay area for an extra $1/chicken. Their minimum order for delivery is 25 chickens and chickens are $3.50/lb and they will be frozen for transportation. Eggs are $4.5o/dozen for large and $6/dozen for double yolked jumbos. They will have pork ready in the fall, target of the third week of October. They will slaughter the pig and I am working on the details of getting it butchered. If an entire pig is purchased, the price (not including butchering) is $3.50/lb and a half pig is $3.75/lb. Butchering is approximately $0.72/lb for standard cuts and $0.85/lb for anything that is smoked (ham, bacon, etc). So, right now I am telling folks to expect to pay in the area of $4.50/lb for pork. Based on interest, I am guessing that we have enough folks to go in on an entire pig and possibly 2. I and some other lucky folks would likely make the trek up to the butcher to pick up the pig and bring it back to the bay area to disperse among those who have gone in on the purchase. I still need to work out all of the details for that. Since it will be multiple folks going in on the pig(s), I will focus on dividing it equitably and will probably not be able to ensure everyone gets the exact cuts/parts that they want. However, if you are definitely in for 1/2 of a pig (provides 60-75lbs of meat on average) then I can try to make sure that you get everything from your half. If you have specific cuts, etc that you would want, I can try to communicate that to the butcher and see if they can accommodate your requests.
Let me know if you have any questions.
