You have a big driveway in the city!?? How'd that happen? ;o) once I have the date confirmed I'll let you know. If it's a different timeframe, we'll figure something out. If Rose can't deliver this far south on a relatively small order we'll just have to work something else out. I'm sure the logistics will be ok once we know what all needs to go in the mix. Thanks so much for organizing this. I haven't been able to find posts from Sallie or Leshawn. Rona wants an 1/8, and so do I. I gather from Rose at Godfrey Farm that, although the slaughter is scheduled for the end of December, hang-time and butchering adds about 3 weeks, so this meat will more than likely be available towards the end of January (and I'll be back from my holidays!). Thanks so much for being willing to accept delivery. It seems, though, that we've only got interest in 1/4 of a pig. How do I get in touch with Leshawn and Sallie? I think we'll be able to put together a half pig if they are interested. I'm excited! :o)
thanks for the additional info. very helpful. i'd been wondering how the pieces were all doled out. i had the sense that julia was the person who was communicating with godfrey for this pig but i haven't heard back from her. i posted on her profile and i believe on the godfrey page as well that you referred us too. should i just go ahead and be the conduit to godfrey? i can only get 1/8 pig (all i can afford right now and i don't have a big freezer either) and i'm still not sure if we have enough people to purchase the whole pig. any advice? thanks! rona
I'm interested in part of the pig, but should warn that this is my first time trying to buy anything on BAMCSA and so i'm not sure how to proceed. i also don't need very much, 1/8 to 1/4 of the pig max. do you know how much that might cost?

Thanks for the input. Honestly I don't think I have thetooke to devote to hunting up other buyers (not to say I won't try, but I know my time commitments). I'll see how this goes, but it is a really frustratingly inefficient way to do this. That's not you ( I know). But I spend too much of my time each day dealing with frustrating inefficiencies to be very happy about devoting hours more to similar endeavors when I know it would be faster to drive to Whole Foods and save myself the trouble. I think this is important, which is why I'll give it a go, but it chaps my hide thatit is this crazy-making
