Yes - getting some beef would be great.  It really helps to know the "grocery bag" equivalent of various sizes of cow.  I think we have room for 1/8.  Do you know someone else who would like 1/16?

Thanks for your email, Marlene.  It would be great to share a quarter beef or 1/2 lamb with you whenever you're interested.  We're not much for pork - except bacon. We live in Emeryville and can meet somewhere between to split the driving.

Yes, we are still on! Sorry it took me so long to respond, we went out picking wild plums earlier this week and I've spent every day in the kitchen since, making Plum Butter, Plum Chutney, etc... Haven't spent more than five minutes at the computer all week.

The only thing I'd like to know is if there is any word yet as to estimated cost, weight, etc? And where is the pick-up location?

Also, do you suppose that they will have extra trotters and/or organ meat?

Marlene, regarding the hog thing, do you have any details in terms of time of day and expected length? The only saturdays I might be able to make it is the 22nd or 29th. If I can't make it, do you mind if you bring back the carcass for me and I'll pick it up that day?
And I'm happy to bring people some pink salt and discuss making bacon.

Sorry you missed out on June's Water buffalo delivery. We will have another in July. Also FYI we have Boer goat by the half $125 cut and wrapped. Look for our July delivery info in the next week. Chapel Farm
